Proposed 30MW PV Solar Farm

This proposed 30MW PV (photovoltaic) Solar Farm will be one of the largest ever built in Australia. This project is intended to provide foundations for large-scale, grid-connected, solar power to Australia’s electricity supply. In a sun-drenched country like Australia it is viable to source energy for our electricity needs, this increasing uptake of residential solar power systems shows great importance to form a clean, renewable and distributed electricity generation future.
The plant is to be placed in Highfields, Toowoomba and will provide positive economic outcomes by:
- Creating employment opportunities both in and around Toowoomba
- Delivering new clean energy to meet the demand of Australia’s increasing energy needs
- A better future with contributing to Australia’s objective to the reduction of CO2
- One megawatt hour of solar generated electricity saves approximately one tonne of CO2 being releases into earth’s atmosphere.
